The ROUNDDOWN Function will round a supplied number down towards zero, to a specified number of decimal places.
The ROUNDDOWN function is an inbuilt function in Excel under the category of Math/Trig Function. You can enter the ROUNDDOWN function as part of a formula in a cell of a worksheet.
Syntax for ROUNDDOWN Function
=ROUNDDOWN( number, num_digits )
Arguments
Number – The number to round down.
Digits – The number of digits to round the number down to.

If num_digits is greater than 0 (zero), then the number is rounded down to the specified number of decimal places.
If the specified num_digits is 0, then the number is rounded down to the nearest integer. But if num_digits is less than 0, then the number is rounded down to the left of the decimal point.
