FACT function returns the factorial value of the supplied number.
As per Wiki,
“In mathematics, the factorial of a non-negative integer n, denoted by n!, is the product of all positive integers less than or equal to n.”
The factorial operations are used fields like mathematical analytics, combinatorics algebra etc. The most basic occurrence of it is the fact that there are (n!) ways to arrange (n) distinct objects into a sequence.
The FACT function is an inbuilt function in Excel. It falls under the category of Math/Trig Functions.
As a worksheet function, you can enter the FACT function as part of a formula in a cell of a worksheet.
