MIN function returns the smallest value from a supplied set of numeric values. The number arguments in this Function are one or more numeric values or arrays for which you want to return the smallest value of.
The MIN Function ignores the empty cells, logical values, or text in the array or reference.
The MIN function is an inbuilt function in Excel. This function is in the category of Statistical Functions. As a worksheet function, you can enter the MIN function as part of a formula in a cell of a worksheet.
Syntax of MIN Function
=MIN(number1, [number2], …)
Arguments
Number1, number2, …: The first Number is mandatory. The subsequent numbers are optional. You can include from 1 up to 255 numbers for which you want to find the minimum value.

In Excel 2007 and above you can provide up to 255 number arguments. But in Excel 2003, you can only provide up to 30 number arguments.
The function returns 0 if the arguments contain no numbers.
