Multiplication Table Test Sheet is a ready-to-use excel template that helps a tutor, parent or student to perform a test for multiplication tables.
This template changes the multiples and the base numbers in the multiplication problems automatically. This helps the student to try a new number combination of multiplication problems.

Click on the “Options” button. The following window will appear.
Select “Enable this content” and click on “Ok”.
This template consists of the following 2 Sheets:
This sheet follows a color pattern; Navy Blue and Light Blue. Light Blue Color Cells are for writing answers and Navy Blue color cells consist of formulas. Hence, you don’t need to enter or alter any data in these cells.
Once the student learns and memorizes the tables by practicing in the Multiplication Table Practice Sheet, it is time to evaluate whether it is thoroughly done or not.
With the help of this sheet, you can conduct a multiplication test on a computer as well as on a printable sheet.
Ensure to follow below-mentioned points before you handover the sheet to students for the test:
At the bottom of the sheet, two range criteria are provided.
The range of tables that needs to be tested must be entered in the first row.
For example, a tutor/parent wants to test tables/multiplication skills of students from 2 to 10 then enter it in the below image.
Similarly, in the next row enter the range of numbers for times a table number goes.
For example, a tutor/parent wants to test tables/multiplication skills of the student from 2 to 10 where each table goes till 10 then enters it as stated in the below image.
Click on the “New Numbers” button below the ranges. It will immediately change all the numbers in the practice sheet.
Make sure, you delete all the answer column cells in light blue.
Select Rows A37: A54.
Right-click and choose “Hide”.
The purpose of doing this is that the students won’t be able to see results and it will also conceal other technical aspects of the test.
As soon as the student completes the test, “Unhide” the rows.
It reveals the hidden rows along with the test results.
If you want to conduct another test, delete all the answers, and click the ‘New numbers’ button at the bottom.
This replaces existing multiplication combinations into new combinations randomly according to the given range.
No need to set paper, check answers or calculate marks. That’s it and your Multiplication test is done.
Printable Sheet is just the duplicate of the previous sheet. The only difference is that it is made in Black and White for an eco-friendly printable version of the test sheet.
This sheet is useful when a tutor/parent doesn’t have an individual computer to allot to the students to conduct a test using hard copies.
Ensure to enable the macros, enter the range as explained above and click on the “New numbers” button.
The test sheet is ready to print. Print the number of copies required according to the strength of the students and distribute them to students and conduct their tests.
You can change the range and print different combinations as and when required.
Before you print the sheet, please check its print preview. Ensure it should not go beyond one page. In case it exceeds then please make the necessary page setup.
