Contents Of Basic Subtraction Test Sheet Excel Template

Download and open the file. A security warning will appear below the ribbon as shown below:

Click on “Options” button. Below dialog box will appear.

Tick the “Enable this content” and press “Enter” or click on “Ok”.

This template consists of the following 2 Sheets:

1. Basic Subtraction Test Sheet
2. Printable Test Sheet – Subtraction

Basic Subtraction Test Sheet

Enter the answers only in Light Blue Color Cells. Navy Blue color cells consist of predefined formulas. Hence, instruct your child not to enter any data in these cells. Entering any data will hinder the functionality of the sheet.

Before taking the test to check how far his learning has taken place, you can make your child practice subtraction problems using our Basic Subtraction Practice Sheet.

How To Conduct a Test Using This Template?

Follow below-mentioned steps and handover the sheet to students for the test:

• Range criteria are given below the sheet, enter the range of numbers to be tested. (Example is given below).
  
• Click on “New Numbers” button and it will immediately change all the numbers in the practice sheet.
• Delete all answers if previously entered.
• Select Rows 37 to 43 and “Hide” the rows.
  
• This hides the test results and range from the student. It will also conceal other technical aspects of the test.

Once the child completes the test, “Unhide” the rows. It reveals the number of marks obtained in the box as shown below:

Each answer consists of 1 Mark. Thus, the number of marks obtained is the number of correct answers. In case you want to change the marks you can do that in column V6 and X6 respectively.

To take another test, just click on “New numbers” again to replace the existing combinations with new combinations.

Delete all the previously entered answers and hand over the sheet to the child again for writing a new test.

That’s it. Your child is done with Basic Subtraction test.

Printable Test Sheet

Printable Test Sheet is just an eco-friendly printable version of the previous sheet. This sheet is useful to conduct a test using hard copies in case you have more than one student and ample computers aren’t available for each student.

The printable sheet functions are similar to the first sheet. Ensure to enable the macros as explained in the beginning.

Print the number of copies you require and distribute among the students.

To avoid copying between students, you can give a different combination number to each child by following these steps:

• Take the print.
• Click on “New Numbers”.
• Take a new print.

Repeat this process until you get the desired number of copies.

Sometimes, page margins change when pc changes. To avoid this you can check print preview by clicking “ALT+F+W+V”. Sets the margins such that it comes on one page.
